MDA SPACE AWARDED CONTRACTS FOR ROYAL CANADIAN NAVY UNCREWED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS TO ENHANCE MARITIME OPERATIONS

MDA Space Ltd. (TSX:MDA) today announced that it has been awarded two contracts to equip the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN)’s Halifax-class ships with up to six new Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS). Part of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (ISTAR UAS) project, these new systems will significantly enhance the RCN’s ability to detect and monitor potential maritime threats, both at home and abroad.

August 1, 2025 (BRAMPTON, ON)—EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS), a global communications and connectivity provider, has selected MDA Space Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a trusted mission partner to the rapidly expanding global space industry, as the prime contractor for EchoStar’s new non-terrestrial network (NTN) low Earth orbit (LEO) direct-to-device (D2D) satellite constellation. With this contract, MDA Space is on track to begin volume manufacturing of the world’s first 3GPP 5G compliant non-terrestrial network using LEO satellites.

The facility houses essential infrastructure that enables the assembly, integration and testing of entire spacecraft and satellite systems and subsystems to ensure their ability to operate in the harsh conditions of space. No other facility of its kind is commercially available in Canada.

MDA SPACE AWARDED $60 MILLION FOR NEXT PHASE OF RIVER-CLASS DESTROYER

(TSX:MDA) today announced that it has been awarded next phase contracts for the delivery and integration of two critical sensor systems for the River-class Destroyer (RCD) program. The contracts, valued at $60 million, are for the delivery and integration of sensor systems for the first three ships that improve situational awareness and protect the ships against laser and optical guided threats.

(“SatixFy”) , MDA Space Ltd. (“MDA”) and certain subsidiaries, pursuant to which MDA agreed to acquire SatixFy in an all-cash transaction for US$2.10 (without interest) per ordinary share, which implied an aggregate equity value for the Company of approximately US$193 million.

The Rover Driving Academy is a distinctive educational program available free of charge to students in grades six to nine across Canada. April 1, 2025 (BRAMPTON & REHOVOT) – MDA Space Ltd. (TSX:MDA), a trusted mission partner to the rapidly expanding global space industry, and SatixFy Communications Ltd. (NYSE American: SATX), a leader in next-generation satellite communication solutions based on in-house-designed chipsets, today jointly announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement (the “Transaction Agreement”) under which MDA Space will acquire all outstanding shares of SatixFy in an all-cash transaction for US$2.10 per share. The transaction, which represents an equity value for SatixFy of approximately US$193 million (approximately C$278 million), is expected to further enhance the end-to-end satellite systems offering of MDA Space as demand for next generation digital satellite communications continues to accelerate.

(NYSE American: GSAT) to be the prime contractor for the satellite operator’s next generation low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation, with a total contract value of approximately $1.1 billion*.
