MDA to provide communication subsystem

Vancouver, BC - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. ("MDA" or the "Company") (TSX: MDA), a global communications and information company, today announced that it has signed a contract valued in excess of CA$7 million with Airbus Defence and Space to provide a communication antenna subsystem to be integrated into the Inmarsat-6 mobile communication satellites. MDA announced an earlier contract for similar work in March 2016.
MDA’s antenna solutions cover a wide range of requirements to address single and multi-satellite programs in commercial, space, military and airborne markets. MDA’s proven and patented design allows antenna movement in very fine increments which increases the flexibility and performance of the satellite.
