MDA to provide surface movement monitoring to oil and gas industry

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. ("MDA" or the "Company") (TSX: MDA), a global communications and information company, today announced that it has been awarded three contracts with undisclosed customers in the oil and gas sector. MDA will deliver RADARSAT-2 surface movement monitoring products and services that accurately measure ground movement.
MDA’s RADARSAT-2 satellite generates data that, when processed using Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) techniques, delivers surface movement measurements. Oil field and pipeline operators use this information to safely manage operations, comply with regulatory reporting requirements, and reduce risks to the environment.
