MDA Space LaunchPad Ventures

MDA Space LaunchPad Ventures is a strategic program that identifies and invests in Canadian small and medium businesses (SMBs) developing space and defence technologies. 

The program is designed to help fund and accelerate the development of space and defence capabilities that address Canada’s strategic sovereign priorities and emerging market opportunities.

The program has identified key focus areas for investment that are aligned to Canada’s priorities, and will help scale solutions that equip, sustain, and modernize the Canadian Armed Forces and Allied Forces.

SMBs that are selected will be able to tap into the space and defence technology expertise and business ecosystems of MDA Space and 49North. They will also gain access to a wide range of additional supports and potential opportunities to participate in future programs.

We are looking for innovative Canadian ventures that advance domestic defence and space capabilities. Any company that meets the definition of a “Canadian Company” under Canada’s Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) Policy may apply.
